The crime was committed on sovereign land and the sovereign nation should decide the penalty for his crime.The way I see it is like this. The only people who should have a say in whether to go ahead with the death penalty or not, are the family members of the victim. If they don’t want the government to kill the suspect and instead just want him locked up for life, that should be granted. If they want the opposite, that should be granted as well.America signed treaties with a sovereign nation and we need to honor that, whether you agree with the penalty or not.
